Meet your professional local guide and begin a full-day exploration of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan and the largest city in Central Asia. Start at the Courage Monument, dedicated to the resilience of Tashkent’s residents following the devastating 1966 earthquake. Continue to the atmospheric Old City, where you will visit the Mausoleum of Kaffal Shashi and explore the historic Khast-Imam Complex. Admire the exterior of the impressive Center of Islamic Civilization before taking a pleasant walk along the newly developed Zarkaynar Street. Continue to the lively Chorsu Bazaar, one of Tashkent’s most famous traditional markets, followed by a visit to a local pottery gallery showcasing Uzbekistan’s rich ceramic traditions. Experience another highlight of the capital with a ride on the beautifully decorated Tashkent Metro as you make your way toward the modern city centre. Enjoy free time for lunch on Taras Shevchenko Street, a popular area known for its restaurants and cafés. Start with the impressive Ark Fortress, the ancient citadel that once served as the residence of Bukhara’s rulers. Next, travel to Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa, the former summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara. Complete your sightseeing with time to walk along Khiva’s narrow streets, browse local handicraft shops, and enjoy panoramic views of the ancient walled city. After the tour, enjoy free time for lunch, shopping, photography, or independent exploration. In the evening, transfer to Urgench International Airport, approximately 30 km from Khiva, for your domestic flight to Tashkent. Upon arrival in Tashkent, meet your driver and transfer to the hotel.
